Compared to drive-in racking, push back pallet racking can minimize honeycombing saving you labor costs and speeding up the flow in your warehouse. Push-Back pallet storage systems are mainly designed in a LIFO (Last In, First Out) product flow applications. Pushback pallet racking is engineered with carts that rest on rails. Interlake Mecalux push back pallet storage rack is designed for high-density, multiple-product applications offering excellent selectivity. This system uses one cart in the 2 deep pallet storage application. The first pallet is loaded on the cart and then when the second and final pallet is loaded into the system it pushes back the cart. Then when the front pallet is removed, gravity pulls the second pallet to the front pick location.

Ridg-U-Rak Slotted Push Back Pallet Racks w/ Drive In
This Ridg-U-Rak Slotted Push Back Pallet Rack uses a dynamic cart-on-rail push back system in which the first pallet is loaded onto a cart and then can be pushed back when the second pallet is loaded. When the front pallet is removed from the rack system, gravity pulls the second pallet to the front pick location of the rack. Ridg-U-Rak’s patented design features large coated wheels with sealed bearings. The linked cart design provides smooth operation in the pallet rack system.
